چکیده: این پژوهش به بررسی رابطه ی محافظهکاری و تعدادی از ویژگی های شرکت شامل اندازه، نسبت ارزش بازار به ارزش دفتری حقوق صاحبان سهام(MB)، درجه اهرم مالی، عمر ، طول چرخه ی سرمایه گذاری و عدم اطمینان خاص شرکت می پردازد.همچنین تاثیر رفتار غیرمتقارن محافظهکاری در شناسایی اخبار خوب و بد(سود ها و زیان ها) بر متغیرهای اقلام تعهدی غیر عملیاتی و نسبت بازده دارایی ها بررسی شده است. در این پژوهش، دادههای 1006سال- شرکت در دوره ی زمانی 1379 تا1387 مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. برای آزمون ارتباط سه متغیر اندازه، نسبت MB و درجه اهرم مالی شرکت با میزان محافظهکاری آن، از مدل رگرسیونی خان و واتس (2009) استفاده شده است. نتایج پژوهش حاکی از آن است که بین محافظهکاری و اندازه ی شرکت، رابطه ی منفی و معنی دار وجود دارد و ارتباط محافظهکاری با دو متغیر MB و اهرم مالی مثبت و معنی دار است. برای آزمون ارتباط بین محافظهکاری و دیگر متغیرها به پیروی از پژوهش خان و واتس(2009)، از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون استفاده شده است. نتایج این بخش حاکی از آن است که ضریب همبستگی بین محافظهکاری با متغیر عمر منفی و معنی دار است. از سوی دیگر این ضریب برای متغیرهای طول چرخه ی سرمایه گذاری و عدم اطمینان خاص شرکت مثبت و معنی دار است. همچنین نتایج پژوهش نشان می دهند که افزایش محافظهکاری سبب می شود، میانگین و چولگی توزیع متغیرهای اقلام تعهدی غیر عملیاتی و نسبت بازده دارایی ها منفی تر شود و انحراف معیار این متغیرها بیشتر شود.
