چکیده: اكسل عضو گردنده ای است كه به ان نیروی پیچشی وارد نمی شود و فقط تحت تاثیر نیروی خمش قرار دارد این قطعه می تواند به عنوان تكیه گاه چرخ(اعم ازچرخ تسمه ، چرخ زنجیر ، چرخ دنده) بكار می رود اكسل ها ممكن است متحرك (مانند اكسل چرخ های وسایل نقلیه ای كه روی ریل حركت می كنند)و یا ثابت (مانند اكسل چرخ های درشكه و دوچرخه)شافت :عضو گردنده ای است كه برای انتقال نیرو و حركت بكار می رود.و تحت تاثیر نیروی پیچشی و نیروی خمش قرار دارد و به سه گروه ثابت،مفصلی و قابل خمش تقسیم بندی می شود. شافت های ثابت برای سوار كردن چرخ دنده ها كلاچ ها چرخ تسمه و دسته لنگها مورد استفاده قرار می گیرد.میل لنگ ها نیز جزء شافت های ثابت هستند و از انها برای تبدیل حركت دورانی به خطی و یا برعكس استفاده می شود. شافت های مفصلی میله هایی هستند كه امتداد آنها نسبت به هم دارای زاویه باشند و از انها برای انتقال نیروهای پیچشی بین دو شافت كه در یك امتدادنیستند و تحت زاویه های مختلف قرار دارند استفاده می شود بیشترین مورد استفاده شافت های مفصلی در ماشین های فرز ماشین های كشاورزی ماشین های حمل و نقل و اتومبیل ها می باشد باید توجه داشت كه برای تنظیم شافتهای با ارتباط مفصلی زوایای دو مفصل باید با یك دیگر مساوی باشند.
